Sweep your bitcoin to a fresh wallet instantaneously. Don’t delay. Here is the proces:

  1. Create a fresh wallet using the Create button on the Unlock screen
  2. Make sure you write down your wallet words and date stamp spil usual
  3. Unlock the fresh wallet and wait for sync to finish
  4. Create a fresh receiving address and copy it to the clipboard – you don’t need an amount. Note the very first and last parts of the address.
  5. Use Uitgang/Switch and select Switch to comeback to the Unlock screen
  6. Unlock the old wallet and wait for sync to finish
  7. Use Contraptions | Empty wallet to spend all your funds to the fresh wallet address (paste from clipboard and verify it is unchanged)
  8. Do not delete your old wallet – others may still accidentally spend into it and you’ll need to access it to sweep those funds

An alternative and more private treatment to a single “Empty wallet” would be to split your overall balance overheen several smaller transactions made to different receiving addresses from the fresh wallet. You can also use Manage wallet | Edit wallet to provide a note indicating that the wallet words are lost and you should avoid using that wallet for day to day use te the future.
